Egle Veltmann
Egle Veltmann graduated from the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School with a specialization in classical singing and obtained her Master’s degree in music education (cum laude) from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. She continued her musical studies in Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, focusing on vocal pedagogy.
Egle has participated in numerous masterclasses in classical singing, among them with Edda Moser, Krisztina Laki, Claudia Visca, Eva Blahova, Marjut Hannula, Teresa Zylis-Gara, Gerd Ulrich Bormann, Liisa Popeil, Mikko Franck, Rilla Kyykkä, and Tuuli Lindeberg, as well as lied courses under the guidance of Heikki Pellinen.
Egle Veltmann has given lied recitals both in Estonia and in various locations across Finland. She has also taken part in several lied competitions, the most notable being the International Sibelius Song Competition, the M. Saar Song Competition, and the Nordic Lied Competition in Kokkola.
Her opera and operetta roles include Réne (J. Benesh/V. Tolarsk, Haljal aasal), Mrs. Grose (Britten, The Turn of the Screw), Dorabella (Mozart, Così fan tutte), Pamina (Mozart, Die Zauberflöte), Edelknabe (Wagner, Lohengrin), and Woman (M. Tariverdiev, Ожидание). She has also performed with the Savonlinna Opera Festival, the Finnish National Opera, and the Estonian National Opera Choir, as well as a soloist in various early music concerts.
Since 2009, Egle Veltmann has worked as a private vocal coach and voice trainer for various choirs in both Finland and Estonia. Since 2017, she has been the vocal coach of the Girls’ Choir Ellerhein and a lecturer in vocal technique at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
